About The Position
This role involves performing a variety of assembly operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position requires operating manufacturing equipment, assisting with line setups, and maintaining a clean workspace. The assembler will be responsible for visually inspecting parts and subassemblies to meet quality standards, identifying and resolving minor issues, and performing material handling tasks. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential.
Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math ' add, subtract, multiply whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail
- Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
- Ability to read and understand procedure, routers and instruction
- Flexibility in work assignments
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Safely perform a variety of assembly operations, complying with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist with line set ups, start up and maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Maintain quality standards as described in the quality system by visually inspect parts, components and subassemblies
- Recognize and solve minor problems that arise
- Perform any necessary material handling requirements of the job
- Perform other duties that may be assigned
