About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is hiring an Assembler to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and copper operations to produce complete subassemblies and final assemblies of control equipment. The role includes checking the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies and packing products for shipment. The position is onsite in Arden, North Carolina, with a listed hourly rate of $19.50. The stated shift hours are 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Requirements

Able to lift 35 pounds at waist, shoulder, and overhead levels.
Proven history of safe work habits.
Able to work effectively without direct supervision.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet use.
Must be able to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.

Previous experience in mechanical and wiring roles.

Responsibilities

Build and wire Main Breaker Units.
Perform full mechanical assembly of the overall structure, including building and wiring doors and electrical devices, installing copper, and cleaning structures after testing so they are ready to ship.
Ensure copper connections are braced according to specifications.
Ensure all clearance requirements are maintained.
Install and wire electrical devices according to the Bill of Material, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Maintain the build schedule for Main Breaker production demand.
Escalate production issues promptly to supervisors, team leads, or water spiders.
Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
Perform other tasks as required.
Check the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies.
Pack and prepare products for shipping.
