About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Assembler to produce control equipment sub-assemblies and final assemblies. The role involves winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and copper operations; checking the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies; and packing and preparing products for shipping. The position is on-site in Arden, North Carolina, and pays $19.50 per hour. The stated shift hours are 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Able to lift 35 pounds to waist, shoulder, and overhead levels.
• Proven history of safe work habits.
• Able to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet use.
• Must be able to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.
• Applicants must be within 50 miles of the work location; active-duty military candidates are exempt from this geographic limitation.

• Previous experience in mechanical and wiring roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire Main Breaker Units.
• Perform full mechanical assembly of structures, including building and wiring doors and electrical devices, installing copper, and cleaning structures after testing before shipment.
• Ensure copper connections are braced to meet specifications and required clearances are maintained.
• Install and wire electrical devices according to the Bill of Material, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain the build schedule for Main Breaker production demand.
• Escalate production issues promptly to supervisors, team leads, or water spiders.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
• Perform other tasks as required.
• Check the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies and prepare products for shipping.
