About The Position

Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, or systems by following work orders and production drawings, ensuring quality, precision, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to follow technical instructions. The assembler will work in a production environment and collaborate with various departments to maintain quality and safety standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 to 3 months of experience or training.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program.
Knowledge of English language rules, spelling, and grammar for reading instructions.
Understanding of machines and tools used in basic assembly.
Familiarity with production processes and quality standards.
Active listening and communication to follow detailed instructions.
Attention to detail for consistent quality during repetitive tasks.
Time management to stay on pace with production flow.
Proficient in using hand tools and positioning small parts.
Able to read and comprehend work orders and technical documents.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
Color vision and near-sight acuity for sorting accuracy.
Ability to maintain focus during repetitive inspection tasks.
Strong problem sensitivity and quick judgment.

Responsibilities

Read work orders and follow production drawings or instructions.
Assemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixtures.
Perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color coding.
Inspect parts using basic testing methods.
Handle and install finished assemblies into enclosures.
Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
