About The Position

Assembles fabricated parts from relatively small or light components to completed units. This role requires a high attention to detail and dexterous use of hands and fingers to assemble units. The assembler will also perform final inspection and packaging of completed assemblies, and participate in maintaining inventory accuracy of parts and finished goods. The position may involve contact with hazardous chemicals and requires proper disposal of waste.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Six months related experience or training.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Possesses the knowledge and ability to use different measuring tools such as pi tape and measuring tape.
  • Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Category B (Medium Labor Intensive Category).

Responsibilities

  • Use hands, hand tools, and small power tools to assemble units.
  • Operate both manual and energy powered cutting equipment.
  • Follow established safety procedures and work instructions to perform the functions of the job.
  • Perform final inspection of completed assemblies.
  • Package completed assemblies.
  • Involve in maintaining inventory accuracy of parts and finished goods.
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Participate in root cause analysis on quality issues
  • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
