About The Position

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This role is located at our facility in Nisku, and reliable transportation is required. The position offers both Day Shift (6 AM - 6 PM) and Night Shift (6 PM - 5:30 AM) options.

Requirements

Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to speak and understand English well.
Time management skills.
Critical eye for identifying defects.
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools for assembly processes.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Must be able to consistently carry and move equipment and/or supplies exceeding 40 pounds.
Must be able to read a tape measure in feet and inches.
Ability to perform simple mathematical fractional equations.
Must have reliable transportation to commute to the Nisku facility.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble piece parts as per schematic under supervision.
Operate small hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and grinders.
Request training for new small/hand-held equipment.
Assist with company inventory requirements, including unloading received products and loading finished products for delivery.
Maintain small/hand-held equipment in good working order and report malfunctions.
Assist tradespeople, Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager with project progress in a safe manner, adhering to the 5-S program.
Liaise with management to find and confirm new duties.
Familiarize self with new projects and duties.
Organize and clean the department, especially at the end of each workday.
Report any unsafe conditions, practices, or procedures observed.
Operate forklift or overhead crane if trained and authorized to move materials.
Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Perform other duties as required.
