About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler - 2nd Shift to join our team in Reno, NV! The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.82 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.

  • Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift, lift up to 35 lbs without assistance, and lift more than 35 lbs with assistance with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
  • Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
  • Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
  • May use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keeps work areas clean and safe.
  • Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
