About The Position

The Assembler/Filter Products is responsible for pulling required material to assemble all types of filters and filter assemblies, according to the Schroeder Bill of Materials. This role utilizes various tools and equipment to assemble these products to manufacturing specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required or work–equivalent job experience.
  • Ability to stand constantly.
  • Ability to walk frequently.
  • Ability to handle/finger constantly.
  • Ability to reach outward constantly.
  • Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs or less constantly.
  • Ability to lift/carry 11-20 lbs constantly.
  • Ability to push/pull 12 lbs or less frequently.
  • Ability to push/pull 13-25 lbs frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in assembly work is preferred.
  • Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles all required products and inspects material for compliance to manufacturing specifications using the work instructions, work orders, sketches, engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Sets up and operates hydraulic and hand presses.
  • Uses various hand-tools, power-tools (such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver and electric drill) taps, and glues for assembling, wiring cleaning, rustproofing and handling filters and components.
  • Inspects final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications.
  • Works in other assembly support functions including but not limited to washing, testing, and repairing.
  • Cross trains on different job tasks within the department.
  • Utilizes company-wide computer system to check on stock, access engineering drawings, check on work order status and other job-related manufacturing transactions as required.
  • Disassembles filters returned to SI for credit, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works overtime as required.
