About The Position

Assemblers perform a variety of tasks at Wabash that vary from location to location. Assemblers are responsible for tasks such as installing subassemblies, assembling component parts, operating rivet punchers, and installing decals. This is a temp-to-full-time conversion position.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills

Experience and education are a plus

Responsibilities

Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery
Keeping the work area free of any potential work hazards
Measuring, cutting and caulking materials
Installing rivets
Operating heavy machinery
Installing truck bed flooring
Following decal templates & blueprints
Installing signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps, and other associated parts
Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or coordinator, which may require the employee to assist in different departments
Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety, as well as the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace
Identifies the existence and cause of a problem
Takes initiative, persists at tasks, and pursues completion of objectives
Is knowledgeable & confident in communicating information
Shares information with others to help them perform their jobs safely
