About The Position

The Assembler produces a variety of products to established efficiency and quality standards. The role involves preparing for jobs, following work instructions, trimming and assembling products using designated methods, inspecting finished products, and meeting production priorities and targets. The position works in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, humid, loud, and include ovens, rotating tools, forklifts, and other moving machinery.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pay is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid environment for extended periods.
• Ability to remain stationary with intermittent walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance, and transport them up to 20 feet.
• Ability to frequently position oneself to maneuver around parts, materials, and molds.
• Ability to operate hand tools and write legibly.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all information and tools needed for each job are in place before work begins.
• Pull and review Work Instructions before starting a job.
• Bundle products properly after trimming and move them to the required staging location.
• Complete assigned projects by their due dates.
• Review production priorities.
• Meet or exceed training requirements, including quality standards, and attend scheduled shift meetings and other required meetings.
• Meet or exceed production targets.
• Produce trimmed products using the methods designated for each job, including hand and power tools.
• Inspect products for conformance to quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
