About The Position

The Assembler works in the compactor power units work cell and the door assembly work cell, assembling and testing multiple styles of front and rear door electrical and pneumatic actuators. The role involves precision assembly, testing, and validation of pneumatic and electrical chute doors and compactor power units to high manufacturing standards. The candidate works from blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, Process Standards Sheets, assembly drawings, Bills of Material, and verbal directions. This position offers a growth opportunity in a fast-paced, technical field.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in two or more of the following fields: mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical installation, testing, and assembly.
Technical and mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Knowledge of machine testing procedures.
Skillset to perform power unit assembly.
Excellent hand dexterity.

Responsibilities

Work alongside team members to assemble and validate pneumatic and electrical chute doors and compactor power units.
Work with the supervisor to ensure materials are available and meet specifications.
Use drawings and Bills of Material to assemble sub-assemblies and final assembly base plates.
Use pneumatic, hand, electric, and torque tools to attach and secure components and subassemblies to a base plate.
Follow assembly drawings and verbal directions from the Team Leader and supervisor.
Document actions by completing production logs.
Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
