This position reports to the Supervisor of the Assembly department. The Assembler will read work orders, follow drawings/work instructions, sample assemblies, or verbal orders to assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, verbal instructions, or work instructions. The role involves executing assembly builds in a timely manner as defined by the production schedule, working at a bench or on the shop floor to assemble vehicle accessories. The assembler will collect parts from inventory, receive verbal instruction on priority of orders, and set-up daily work according to the production schedule or verbal instructions. They will use hand tools including torque controlled electric drills, wrenches, torque wrenches, and auto screw feeders. The role requires working at different workstations & cross-training to support other assembly departments, as required. Responsibilities also include grouping and packaging finished products with a packing list for processing by the shipping department, packaging parts together according to the production schedule or verbal instructions, and operating various packaging equipment including paper machine, hand sealer, bubble machine, tape machine and tape gun. Additionally, the assembler will label finished products, complete paperwork, maintain a clean work area, participate in the maintenance of the facility, adhere to all safety and ESD protection standards, and perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products. The role involves participating in product assembly training sessions, team activities, and the continuous improvement process, as well as utilizing quality assurance tools such as the Vision System, Inspection Tracker, and Quality Tracker to ensure product standards are met and maintained. The assembler will also support the vision, mission, strategy and values of the company.
