About The Position

This is a 1st Shift position that involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock, testing and service, packing, and general clean up. The role requires mechanical aptitude to assemble gear drives and motors, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency in using gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work. The position also involves performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching to meet production needs. Tasks include hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintaining parts stock, parts pulling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving, and general clean up. The assembler will use calipers, depth and paint millage gauges, visually inspect all work, read and understand supporting documentation, monitor the work area for cleanliness, and rotate to various jobs within the Assembly Shop.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs

Responsibilities
