About The Position

This role involves producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies according to schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. The Assembler will be responsible for positioning and aligning components, using hand tools or machines for assembly, and conducting quality control checks. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to company policies, and reporting any unusual conditions are also key aspects of this position. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work overtime, and meeting specific physical requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Fast paced and detail oriented.
  • Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Conducts quality control checks.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies by templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
  • Report unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
  • Obey all safety rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain records as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
