As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting a diverse team. The position involves assembling Mark V, TR-II, ScadaMate, or Vista Switches in a production environment, requiring continuous production activity, adherence to time constraints, and accountability for quality. Tasks demand mechanical assembly aptitude, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and repetitive use of hands and arms for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools, working while standing and occasionally on a ladder or manlift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in reading blueprints
  • Testing knowledge of electrical switching e.g. relays, contactors and circuit breakers.
  • Demonstrate the skills to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
  • Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Manufacturing assembly experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred.
  • Soldering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations, ranging in size from 6’ x 10’ x 10’ to 15’ x 15’ x 15’.
  • Assembling TR-II switches, ranging in size up to 5’ x 1’ x 1’ to 11’x 1’ x 1’.
  • Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance).
  • Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure, and electrical inspection using a test console.
  • Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes.
