About The Position

The Assembler produces components for the SCAG family of products by assembling parts and subassemblies. This is a first-shift position in Fall River, Wisconsin, reporting to the Assembly Manager. On-the-job training is available. The role involves positioning parts using templates or measurements, fastening and checking assemblies, measuring finished components against specifications, maintaining supplies and production records, conserving resources, and following safety and cleanliness procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly; training will be provided.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
Ability to take directions and execute them efficiently.
High school degree, diploma, or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to multitask.
Good finger and hand dexterity.
Ability to routinely lift and carry 25 lbs and occasionally lift and carry 55 lbs.
Ability to routinely push or pull 25 lbs and occasionally push or pull 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
Assemble components by checking connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Check supply stock, anticipate supply needs, place and expedite orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
Use equipment and supplies responsibly to conserve resources.
Complete production and quality forms to document work.
Contribute to team efforts and complete related tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
