About The Position

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is hiring an Assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. Assemblies vary in size and product and involve mechanical, electrical, and manual tools. The role is based in a manufacturing or production environment and requires attention to detail, accurate tool use, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Employees must maintain regular, reliable in-person attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

At least 6 months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
Use hand and pneumatic tools, including wrenches, hammers, and torque guns, accurately.
Measure accurately using tools such as tape measures.
Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
Lift and stack subassemblies and parts, lifting up to 35 pounds alone and team lifting up to 60 pounds.
Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
