The Assembler/Tester will be responsible for assembling and testing production hardware and incoming repair units while utilizing standard methods, processes, and procedures for both the OEM and Repairs Value Stream. Certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing. The role involves assembling and testing detailed electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on production, prototype, and/or returned electronic motors and actuators for aircrafts. The Assembler/Tester will use test equipment to perform in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), ensuring assemblies are built to written instructions or blueprint specifications and completed to scheduled delivery dates. Prioritization of work to meet business goals is essential. The role also includes performing lock wire or safety wire processes and utilizing various hand tools. Visual inspection to identify defective items and handling them according to established procedures is also a key responsibility. Other duties as assigned may include reassignment to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.
