Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking an Assembler Tester B - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 1:45pm to 11:45pm. The hourly rate for this position is $25.88 + $2.00/hr shift differential per hour. This role assembles and tests routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of simple to most complex product lines. The products include commercial parts for customers such as Boeing, Embraer, Gulfstream, Cessna, and Airbus. The role may occasionally involve working on electrical assemblies and soldering, and may also require working on unusual tasks where standard methods may not be available. The position requires little to no supervision, and the employee will organize data and prepare test reports. Responsibilities include performing lock wire/safety wire and nameplate tasks, visual inspections, and handling defective items according to procedures. The role also involves material preparation, cross-training, and proactively identifying process improvements. The Assembler Tester B may perform acceptance tests on repaired, modified, returned, or production units and conduct in-person testing as required. They will determine when an Engineering Change Order (ECO) is required and may work with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering departments to implement procedures. The role may also involve acting as a department representative in customer audits/visits and using test equipment for in-process and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
