About The Position

Winnebago Specialty Vehicles is a business unit within Winnebago Industries, a leading outdoor lifestyle company. Our Specialty Vehicle group works with OEM’s, up fitters, dealers and end use B2B, non-profit and government customers to design and build vehicles ideal for a wide variety of business and special uses. These include mobile medical, event marketing, community outreach and accessibility applications. Starting with advanced design capabilities, skilled craftsmen in a wide variety of specialty areas tailor vehicles to meet the exact needs of each application. Requirements

  • Able to read and interpret work instruction and technical diagrams
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using a variety of tools
  • Ability to think critically – recognizes connections, translates goals into action, uses strong judgment to make choices in alignment with strategy and company culture/values
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills and with good analytical/problem-solving ability
  • Fast learner with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability; thrives in a changing and/or fast paced environment
  • Possesses a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to work outcomes - particularly toward quality and safety
  • Demonstrated expertise in production of Specialty Vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple workstations ranging from electrical, carpentry, plumbing/HVAC, fabrication
  • Expert in use of relevant power tools
  • Demonstrated actions towards continuous improvement (safety, quality, productivity, design)
  • Strong team player

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, inspect components and subsystems as part feeder or directly into the final vehicle
  • Operate power tools, such as screw guns, drills, caulk guns, grinders, etc.
  • Collaborate with engineers and managers to solve problems
  • Ensure all components adhere to the highest quality standards
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business need
