Assembler, Settings (ONSITE)

This person will be working on exclusive customer products.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to use & read measuring instruments (i.e.: rulers, gauges, etc.)
- Must be punctual and reliable; achieves results even when confronted with conflicting responsibilities and limited resources.
- Must work well with coworkers using both written and verbal communication.
- Will usually voice their opinions and ideas when problem-solving to formulate the best path forward.
- Ability to learn, understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Maintains high ethics. Is respectful and honest. Is caring, friendly and willing to share knowledge and expertise.
- Will be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, kicking or kneeling
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 45 lbs.)
- Must have 20/20 distance vision with or without the use of aids such as glasses or contact lenses.
Responsibilities
- Consistently assembles 200-250 quality pieces per 8-hour shift including inspections, cleanup and turning in job with less than 2% defect ratio.
- Sets up equipment accurately and independently.
- Adjusts and corrects machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.
- Cross trains in multiple jewelry departments.
- Ensures that the correct amount of material is ordered, scans jobs to proper area and box # and ensures the correct time and weight on each job.
- Observe all plant safety rules and regulations, wear proper safety attire at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
