About The Position

The Assembler Senior supports ground-up assembly of low-volume production specialty vehicles and components. The role performs complex component, product, and vehicle assembly, supports multiple programs, and works on vehicle systems. The Assembler Senior also instructs and mentors lower-level assemblers and works with support functions to improve processes and address quality issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience.
Ability to learn alternative fuel systems.
Proficient with computer usage.
Ability to analyze production methods and address quality concerns.
Knowledge of automotive technology.
Ability to learn new, cutting-edge technology.
Possess basic mechanics tools.

Nice To Haves

Experience with performance enhancements.
Knowledge of alternative fuel systems.
Knowledge of suspension systems.
Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform complex component, product, and vehicle assembly.
Support multiple programs involving a variety of products and vehicles.
Train and mentor lower-level assemblers.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to evaluate and refine production methods.
Support continuous quality improvement and production efficiency efforts.
Perform functional and visual quality inspections as needed.
Perform off-line repairs as needed.
Learn and perform assigned production procedures to support vehicle and product production.
Perform work on vehicle systems.
Perform fabrication duties, including grinding, cutting, and drilling using fixtures and templates.
