About The Position

Supports daily operations in the Production Cutting Area by preparing, measuring, and cutting fabric according to work orders. The role operates cutting machines, weighs materials, and works to meet production goals. It monitors product quality, identifies defects, and communicates issues as needed. The position also maintains accurate records, completes cutting sheets, keeps the work area clean and organized, follows safety procedures, uses required PPE, and complies with company standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be self-starting, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to push and pull.
• Able to read work orders or willing to learn how to read them.
• Safety- and quality-conscious.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and attend all safety meetings.
• Be ready to move to other areas as needed.
• Have strong communication skills and work as a team.
• Know basic math and use a calculator and computer accurately.
• Be comfortable working in a dynamic setting where temperature conditions may change with the season.
• Know how to use a tape measure.
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to sit, stand, and/or walk during an 8-hour work shift.
• Able to push, pull, reach, bend, and work overhead.
• Wear all required PPE.

Nice To Haves

• 3–6 months of previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with FRN and Visions IS, and use a scale to weigh fabric.
• Operate both cutting-area machines: Eastman and Matic.
• Keep machines running to complete the daily goal.
• Keep the work area organized and neat.
• Return fabric material as needed.
• Perform color changes according to the work order.
• Review work material to ensure it is correct.
• Watch for defects and alert the area Coordinator and QC.
• Complete cutting sheets with correct measurements when inspection is needed.
• Work safely and wear all required PPE.
• Comply with the 5S standard.
