About The Position

Supports daily operations in the Production Cutting Area by preparing, measuring, and cutting fabric according to work orders. Operates cutting machines, weighs materials, and works to meet production goals. Monitors product quality, identifies defects, and communicates issues. Maintains accurate records, completes cutting sheets, and keeps the work area clean and organized. Follows safety procedures, wears required PPE, and complies with company standards, including 5S.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pull and push.
• Able to read work orders or willing to learn how to read them.
• Safety- and quality-conscious.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and attend all safety meetings.
• Be ready to move to other areas as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator and computer accurately.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic setting where temperature conditions may change with the season.
• Know how to use a tape measure.
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to sit, stand, or walk during an 8-hour work shift.
• Able to push, pull, reach, bend, and work overhead.
• Wear all required PPE.

Nice To Haves

• 3–6 months of previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to prioritize.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Use FRN, Visions IS, and a scale to weigh fabric.
• Operate the Eastman and Matic cutting-area machines and keep them running to meet the daily goal.
• Keep the work area organized and neat.
• Return fabric material as needed.
• Perform color changes according to work orders.
• Review work material to ensure it is correct.
• Watch for defects and alert the area Coordinator and QC.
• Complete cutting sheets with correct measurements when inspection is needed.
• Work safely, wear required PPE, and comply with the 5S standard.
