About The Position

Assemble variety of basic shutter styles within established standards for quality and timeliness. This role involves performing general manufacturing duties, including pre-assembly responsibilities with Poly based parts, initial hand assembly of shutters, making necessary adjustments, completing the assembly process, and performing quality and performance tests. The Assembler/Operator I will also prepare shutters for packaging and shipment, complete productivity paperwork, and may assist with testing new products. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, performing minor equipment maintenance, and interacting with relevant departments for repairs and development. The position also emphasizes following safety policies, attending meetings for communication flow, and ensuring quality through various methodologies.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assemble variety of basic shutter styles within established standards for quality and timeliness.
  • Perform pre-assembly responsibilities, including working with Poly based parts.
  • Perform assembly and general manufacturing duties.
  • Perform initial hand assembly of shutters for hanging, inspection, and adjustment.
  • Make necessary adjustments and re-inspect shutters.
  • Complete the assembly process for shutters.
  • Perform testing of shutters, including quality tests, visual tests, and function/performance tests.
  • Interact with quality specialists to ensure quality guidelines are met.
  • Prepare shutters for packaging and shipment.
  • Complete productivity paperwork related to shutter assembly.
  • Work with Engineering on testing of new products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain work environment in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Interact with Toolroom and Maintenance Departments on equipment and tool repair and development of new equipment and tools.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend regularly-scheduled safety meetings.
  • Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth flow of communication.
