About The Position

The Assembler is an entry-level position that performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs by performing the following duties. This role involves placing parts in a specified relationship to each other, fastening them together using bolts, clips, screws, or other methods. The assembler may also cut products to specific measurements, remove defective products, tend machines for assembly operations, and work at different workstations as production needs require. The role also includes working in an environment where tasks change based on varying product models and cleaning equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to read tape measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior carpentry experience helpful.
