About The Position

Field Fastener, a global industrial distributor, has immediate openings in its Assembly & Kitting area within its Warehouse located in Columbus, OH. The company is seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and committed individuals with experience in light industrial tasks, including assembly and kitting. Ideal candidates will possess attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use tools and equipment for creating assemblies. This position reports to the Production Leader and has no direct reports. The role is located in Columbus, OH, and is an hourly position with a starting pay of $16-$18 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a warehouse or manufacturing operation.
  • Commitment to fulfilling all work expectations and requirements.
  • Proven track record of results.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Ability to work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Time management skills, delegation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.
  • Ability to drive results with or without a great deal of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Use a variety of hand tools to create assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  • Meet daily receiving, production, and shipment requirements.
  • Take an active role in supporting and maintaining safety programs.
  • Actively embrace and promote a positive work culture.
  • Perform periodic bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • All other duties as assigned.
