About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is hiring an Assembler IV for its El Paso, Texas team. The role involves wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. The assembler also performs assembly or wiring needed for test preparation and final inspection, meeting assigned quantity and quality requirements. The position is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. The hourly rate is $20.66, plus a $1-per-hour shift differential, and the position is eligible for a variable incentive plan. Candidates must be within 50 miles of El Paso, Texas, except active-duty military service member candidates, who are exempt from this geographic limitation. Relocation benefits are not offered. Requirements

At least one of the following: one year of electrical wiring experience; a completed technical degree in a related field; or Connectors I and II certifications plus one year of experience as an Assembler III.
Ability to lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Self-driven and able to produce results with minimal direction.
Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as SharePoint.
Ability to work somewhat independently and make decisions affecting the workgroup.
Ability to focus on assigned goals and objectives and meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of wiring experience.
Two or more years of assembly experience.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned work based on oral or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.
Wire and assemble switchboards using tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers.
Wire, assemble, fit, and mount subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
Perform assembly or wiring needed for test preparation and final inspection while meeting assigned quantity and quality requirements.
Handle materials according to established procedures.
Maintain expected job progress and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
Follow housekeeping and safety procedures; keep equipment, tools, and the work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties.
Lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Flex into other business functions and perform other assigned functions or tasks.
Comply with company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment.
