About The Position

This Assembler IV – KDF Operations role is responsible for safely running and monitoring KDF equipment to meet daily production, quality, and efficiency targets. This position requires strong multi-tasking skills, the ability to interpret process conditions, and sound judgment to make timely adjustments to keep equipment running efficiently. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions. Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s). Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operational procedures, systems, and tools gained through experience and/or relevant training, education, or certifications.
  • Requires 5+ years of related experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
  • No minimum education requirement.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level).

  • May act as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor / manager.
  • May delegate tasks to other team members and be responsible for the review of work product.
  • Does not have formal management responsibilities, but may provide input to management in this area.
