About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Assembler III to join its El Paso, Texas team. The role assembles, fits, and mounts subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment, including switchboards. The assembler also prepares assemblies for testing and final inspection, meeting assigned quantity and quality requirements. The scheduled shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.00, and the position is eligible for a variable incentive plan. Applicants must live within 50 miles of El Paso, Texas, unless they are active-duty military service members. No relocation benefits are offered.

Requirements

At least 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience or 2 Assembler II certifications.
Able to produce results with minimal direction.
Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and SharePoint.
Able to work somewhat independently and make decisions affecting the workgroup, while focusing on assigned goals and customer needs.
Ability to lift 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, Texas, unless an active-duty military service member.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned work from oral or written instructions and engineering drawings.
Use tools such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to assemble switchboards.
Handle materials according to established procedures.
Maintain expected job progress and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
Follow housekeeping and safety procedures; keep equipment, tools, and the work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties.
Perform other assigned functions or tasks and flex into other business functions.
Work as a team player and independently with a sense of urgency.
Comply with policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe equipment operation.
