About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions. Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s). Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. This role is part of the PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM, providing support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

Requirements

  • Requires broad knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operational procedures, systems, and tools gained through experience and/or relevant training, education, or certifications.
  • Requires 3+ years of related experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
  • No minimum education requirement.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Candidates for roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
