About The Position

Performs a variety of sub-assembly and assembly tasks, including gunking and glassing, installing deck hardware, bilge system work, and working on deck/hull areas. Assists with bilge preparation and installation, as well as supporting fitter/installers. May also perform limited cabinet fitting. Carries out other duties as assigned. This role involves working with various materials and tools to ensure all parts are accurately fitted and meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Marine industry experience highly preferred.
  • Hand Tool Knowledge
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Ability to read and understand Production Schedule
  • Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
  • Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting.
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Knowledge of mechanical objects
  • Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
  • Requires standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shift.
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Follows technical instructions, interprets engineering blueprints and technical terms.
  • Discerns quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Inventories parts and tools used in the assembling process.
  • Follows company procedures and directives.
  • Tests finished products for defects.
  • Maintains the tools used to create products.
  • Keeps a clean and well-maintained workspace.
