Assembler II - 2nd Shift

About The Position

Under direct supervision of the Assembly/Production Supervisor, our Assembler II/Support II position will be responsible for assembling wooden/lumber reels for our valued customers. This will be done with safety, and quality at the forefront. Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday to Friday 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. and available to train on 1st shift 6am-2:30 for 2-3 weeks.

Requirements

• Basic reading skills to interpret spec sheets, math and measuring skills.
• No experience is required for the right person willing to learn.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with lumber/staves of various sizes and use specified hardware to assist in building our reels.
• Meet daily goals of building reels utilizing the hour-by-hour report.
• Use hand and power tools such as grinders, sanders, impact guns, table saw and other necessary power tools as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner and keep tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• At the end of each shift, clean and organize the work area and ensure all tools are returned to their assigned storage locations to keep safety hazards to a minimum.
• Report safety hazards, defects, or equipment issues to supervision.
• Perform quality checks on all reels assembled to ensure they meet the specifications found in the spec sheet.
• Other duties as assigned.
