About The Position

The Assembler II will perform a variety of tasks to produce quality products and meet or exceed productivity goals. This role involves performing complex job functions on the production floor, understanding the operation of production machinery to troubleshoot errors, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The position requires adherence to safety rules and quality policies, as well as basic computer functions and accurate paperwork completion.

Nice To Haves

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks to produce foam products: assemble, glue, cut, print, fold, press, inflate, seal, label, and pack, consistently meeting or exceeding productivity goals.
  • Verify that the product is being made properly and conforms to quality standards.
  • Locate and organize raw materials for production.
  • Minimize scrap through proper and careful handling of materials.
  • Set up and operate production machinery according to instructions.
  • Be fully cross trained in 2-3 jobs within the mattress department.
  • Understand the operation of production machinery to troubleshoot machine errors.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all necessary paperwork.
  • Understand how to print and change labels using UDI.
  • Perform the more complex job functions on the production floor.
  • Notify supervision or maintenance of machinery problems or breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Support Quality Policy, Quality System, and follow established procedures.
  • Follow safety rules to protect yourself, co-workers, equipment, and facilities. Report unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Perform basic computer functions.
