About The Position

AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt. The Assembler II (intermediate level) performs more complex conveyor assembly tasks with limited supervision. They interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot issues, and ensure assemblies meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Familiarity with conveyor components and industrial equipment
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies

Responsibilities

  • Independently assemble conveyor sections, frames, rollers, drives, and accessories
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments during assembly
  • Conduct preliminary testing and alignment of conveyor systems
  • Have some basic math skills using or making templates when using the shear
  • Keep up with different applications of hardware (when to use zinc or stainless steel)
  • Operate shear equipment safely to cut different types of liner materials without having too much waste of material
  • Be able to come up with templates for lining certain pieces of conveyor equipment
  • Plan ahead and be able to preorder materials if needed when there is a bigger than usual run of parts
  • Operate fabrication tools such as drills, grinders, and torque equipment
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications
  • Provide guidance to Level 1 assemblers on basic tasks
  • Communicate material shortages, design issues, or process improvements
