About The Position

The Assembler II uses a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and work instruction to accurately assemble, inspect and pack small, medium, and large injection molded protective cases. This role involves assembling parts, drilling holes according to instructions, and documenting required information. The Assembler II performs visual and in-process inspections to ensure quality, identifies acceptable and unacceptable parts, and packs completed products with customized labels for traceability. They also perform re-inspection, re-work, sorting, and cleaning of plastic parts as needed. The position requires rotation through different tasks on the assembly line, maintaining a clean work area, tracking Production Balance Sheets to prevent overruns, and operating auxiliary equipment like drilling and pin installation fixtures. Upon completion of work, they are responsible for stopping material blenders, closing water circulation in molds, and returning equipment to its designated storage area.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency at operating 90% of manufacturing cases workstations as documented by training records.
  • Must rotate throughout Manufacturing Cases and Component Molding
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Thorough understanding of large and small press operations, part numbers, names and colors.

Responsibilities

  • Uses a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and work instruction to accurately assemble, inspect and pack small, medium, and large injection molded protective cases.
  • Assembles parts and drills holes according to verbal and SOP work instructions and documents required information.
  • Performs visual and in-process inspections of parts during the manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met; able to determine acceptable and unacceptable parts.
  • Packs completed product into boxes with customized labels to ensure identification and traceability to customer requirements.
  • Performs re-inspection, re-work, sorting and cleaning of plastic parts, as requested.
  • Rotates through different tasks on the assembly line.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Tracks Production Balance Sheets in order to prevent over runs.
  • Operates auxiliary equipment such as drilling fixtures and pin installation fixtures.
  • Stops material blender and closes water circulation in the mold; returns all equipment to storage designated area upon work completion.
