About The Position

Kitting is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. This role involves arranging for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite the flow of materials to meet production schedules. The Assembler II will move totes to tables, check for complete parts, move parts to shelves, and make copies of paperwork. They will also confer with department supervisors to assess progress and discuss needed changes, identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling, and work at different workstations as production needs require. Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area, using proper safety equipment, and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.
  • Arranging for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Moving totes to tables, checking to ensure all parts are complete, moving parts to shelves, and making copies of paperwork.
  • Confers with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  • Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
  • Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
