About The Position

Dover Food Retail is hiring an Assembler II - Kitting in Operations. Kitting coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. The role involves handling parts and supplies to support production, working at different workstations as production needs require, and maintaining a safe and orderly work area. The position is classified as hourly and non-exempt and is assigned to the 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
• Move totes to tables; check that parts are complete; move parts to shelves; and make copies of paperwork.
• Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
• Identify maintenance needs for equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Use the proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual's product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
