Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of mechanical experience.
  • Demonstrates A Player Competencies: Aptitude, Alliance, Agility, Accountability, Awareness & Anticipation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Cooperative attitude and ability to function effectively as a team member.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and ERP programs.
  • Knowledge of design, layout, mechanical principles, and product operation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, measuring devices, and Work Instructions.
  • Skill with mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Skill with safe operation of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane and/or forklift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good spatial orientation, eye-hand coordination, and eyesight.
  • Normal color vision, demonstrated by identifying various wire colors.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform diversified mechanical and electrical assembly operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive equipment.
  • Guide and check the work of Assemblers of lower classification and Production Assistants.
  • Assemble and integrate control panels, electrical systems, and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, routing, and termination using appropriate electrical tools.
  • Interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Complete mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, alignment, tubing, and fastening of components.
  • Perform testing and basic troubleshooting of assembled systems to ensure proper function and quality.
  • Install and connect fluid system components using compression fittings, threaded pipe connections, and brazed joints.
  • Use tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, torque wrenches, and standard hand/power tools.
  • Identify and resolve assembly or quality issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and job records.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other production team members to support build efficiency and product improvements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and 5S standards.
