About The Position

Nordson Measurement & Control, a global leader in Measurement & Control, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team. This role demands attention to detail, a solid foundation in electronic principles, and proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as measuring and testing devices. The technician will engage in calibration, assembly, and adjustment tasks, leveraging ticketing and ERP systems for operational efficiency. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for those with additional technical training. Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic principles, logic, schematics, and blueprint reading.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as measuring and testing devices.
  • Basic proficiency in using SAP ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a technical support or electronics repair role is beneficial, though not strictly necessary for candidates with strong foundational skills and the ability to learn quickly.

  • Further technical or vocational education in electronics, mechanics, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and ensure quality in all work processes.
  • Maintain reliability in attendance and task completion.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnosing at the board level.
  • Apply electronic fundamentals and logic in daily tasks.
  • Read schematics and blueprints accurately for job requirements.
  • Set up test apparatus for testing assemblies and equipment following established methods and standards.
  • Use hand and power tools at an intermediate level, including a variety of tools for specific tasks.
  • Operate measuring and testing devices (e.g., volt-amp meters, oscilloscopes, function generators) with intermediate skill.
  • Perform calibration and adjustments using test equipment, identifying problems with alignment and calibration.
  • Execute sub-assembly and final assembly of parts and products according to engineering drawings and specifications with intermediate ability.
  • Navigate and utilize the ticketing system (Oracle Service Cloud) and ERP system (Oracle ERP) at a basic level for incident viewing and completing depot repairs.
  • Understand inventory controls at a basic level.
