About The Position

SEKISUI Aerospace is looking for an Assembler I for their 1st Shift at the Sumner location. This role involves performing finish assembly processes on composite products for the aerospace industry, working according to takt time on a moving line or bench. Requirements

Fine hand motor skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
Self-motivated and quick learner.
Basic math skills.
Understanding of process specifications.
Understanding of technology with the ability to learn new platforms and systems.
Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.
Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).
Must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
Hand wrap insulation blankets using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
Perform light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.
