SEKISUI Aerospace is currently accepting applications for an upcoming Assembler I, 1st Shift need at our Sumner location. The Assembler works according to takt time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products.
Requirements
- Fine hand motor skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
- Self- motivated and quick learner.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of process specifications.
- Understanding of technology with the ability to learn new platforms and systems.
- Must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
- Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
- Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
- May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.
