About The Position

Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies. Assembles and/or repairs products, partially or completely, by performing the following duties listed below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manually assemble electronics related hardware (heat sinks, screws, bolts, fans, cages, sheet-metal enclosures, etc.) according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following written directions and/or drawings and/or schematics. Assemble electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, & mechanical assemblies according to work instructions. Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance. Utilizes small hand tools (drills, nut-drivers, calipers, torque wrenches, pliers, etc.). Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Works as a member of a team. Functions under time pressure. Gets along with co-workers. Contributes to a positive, healthy and safe work environment. Work in compliance with Microboard, OSHA and SDS safety policies. Proficiency with and working knowledge of Microboard MIS (Aegis) software is required. Accepts change in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manually assemble electronics related hardware (heat sinks, screws, bolts, fans, cages, sheet-metal enclosures, etc.) according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following written directions and/or drawings and/or schematics.
  • Assemble electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, & mechanical assemblies according to work instructions.
  • Communicate and listen effectively in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.
  • Depanel scored or routed assemblies per work instructions.
  • Assemble hardware with an understanding of torque and thread lock.
  • Apply adhesives and epoxies according to work instruction (this includes the proper mixing of 2-part adhesives).
  • Setup and use of dispensing equipment.
  • Cable terminations and wire routing.
  • Router operation for depaneling.
  • Use of manual and electric press(es).
