About The Position

The Assembler works according to takt time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products. This is an entry/junior level individual contributor, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Requires little or no prior experience and no more than a few months of training that is often received while on the job. Has little or no autonomy and works under close supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level over time.

  • Fine hand motor skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
  • Self- motivated and quick learner.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of technology with the ability to learn new platforms and systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of process specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
  • Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
  • Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
  • May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.
