About The Position

The Assembler I plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining assembly stations to build, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or complete units in accordance with detailed specifications. This role involves adhering to established manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality outputs. The position requires proficient use of various hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to put together products accurately. Testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms are integral to the role to confirm all components consistently meet precise tolerances, product standards, and quality benchmarks. This position is ideal for individuals at an entry-level stage in their manufacturing career, typically requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Under the close supervision of senior staff, the Assembler I will gain valuable experience by performing tasks with diligence and a focus on quality while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Up to one year of manufacturing or assembly work experience is beneficial but not required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
  • Basic knowledge of using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, or blueprints.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and work in a standing position for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assembly stations to accurately build, align, and adjust manufactured parts and units according to detailed assembly instructions and blueprints.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other assembly line equipment safely and correctly to construct quality finished products.
  • Conduct tests and calibrations on components and mechanisms to ensure compliance with product specifications and tolerance standards.
  • Identify and report defective parts and units, assist with repairs or rework when necessary to meet quality requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate daily assembly production records documenting work performed, defects identified, and corrections made.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and promote continuous improvement.
  • Consistently uphold safety protocols and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting processes and share observations to help optimize assembly procedures and reduce waste.
  • Attend training sessions as directed to develop new skills and stay abreast of manufacturing best practices.
