About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I - Seismic (2nd Shift) to join our team in Reno, NV! The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift differential. CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM. This role involves performing simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components, potentially using various fastening devices. The assembler will work under close supervision and may use models, samples, or simple diagrams. Responsibilities also include picking, packing, and pulling orders accurately, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position actively supports continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, including maintaining 5-S standards and tracking visual management tools. Encouragement and participation in Kaizen improvements are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
  • May use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keeps work areas clean and safe.
  • Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
