About The Position

This is a skilled production role focused on assembling and glazing aluminum. You will be responsible for building systems that must meet strict performance standards for structure, operation, and waterproofing. This role is ideal for someone with glazing or assembly experience who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship. You consistently produce clean, accurate assemblies that meet specifications by working efficiently, not cutting corners, resulting in superior finished product.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in glazing, aluminum system assembly, or a related construction/manufacturing trade
  • Solid understanding of basic waterproofing methods, including sealants, gaskets, and system sealing practices
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and layout details with accuracy
  • Ability to follow detailed assembly processes and manufacturer specifications
  • Familiarity with handling and installing glass or similar fragile materials safely
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, including alignment, fit, and finish of assembled components
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
  • Understands system assembly beyond the task level, including how components function together
  • Supports the development of junior assemblers
  • Maintains a strong commitment to safety and follows all established procedures and protocols

Responsibilities

  • Assemble aluminum systems using shop drawings and specifications
  • Install glass, panels, and infill materials into frames
  • Apply sealants, gaskets, and waterproofing components
  • Install and adjust hardware (locks, hinges, handles)
  • Inspect work for accuracy, alignment, and quality
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and fitment challenges
  • Safely handle glass and materials
  • Maintain tools and workstations
  • Follow safety procedures and production standards
  • Support junior team members when needed
