About The Position

YOUR DAY TO DAY : The Final Assembly/Crate Assembler executes daily production tasks by reviewing work orders, staging materials, and performing finishing, assembly, and crating activities in alignment with specifications and quality standards. Operate hand tools safely, complete basic inspections, and record progress in the ERP system. Maintain a clean, organized workspace, communicate issues impacting production, and adjust priorities as needed to support schedule adherence and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent use of hands for tool operation and material handling; regular reaching and manual dexterity required.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks including occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and overhead work.
  • Tolerance for exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including fumes, glare, and welding-related radiation.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • High degree of adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic production environment.
  • Ability to execute semi-routine tasks with consistency, while exercising judgment to deviate from standard practices when necessary.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions for routine assignments and apply critical thinking when addressing new or non-standard tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute grinding, polishing, sanding, and finishing of welded components to meet defined customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate small electric and pneumatic hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Handle and process a variety of materials, including raw steel, aluminum, galvanized components, and scrap materials.
  • Support weld preparation activities, including kitting and staging of required parts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment, including production equipment and assigned work areas.
  • Ensure all work is performed in alignment with established quality requirements and production standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems to accurately track labor, access work instructions, review routers, and interpret technical drawings.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and process optimization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the role.
