About The Position
L3Harris is seeking an Assembler B. Working with moderate supervision, the Assembler follows formal written procedures and detailed verbal instructions to perform tasks required to produce various components and assemble them to a point where they are ready for the next operational level. The role includes manufacturing preparation, protective coating, casing insulation, and operation of pressure chambers, as well as production documentation and environmental responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/associate-level education with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Respirator qualified.

Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation and apply protective coating.
- Insulate casings and operate pressure chambers.
- Carry out preparatory tasks as needed in the manufacturing process.
- Manage production documentation and collect, contain, and label manufacturing waste byproducts.
- Maintain satellite accumulation areas in a safe, orderly manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Contact the Hazardous Waste Control Technician to arrange movement of non-energetic chemical wastes to the chemical waste handling area and energetic wastes to energetic waste accumulation areas or thermal treatment units.
- Immediately report chemical and/or process-water spills to the Environmental department.
- Implement facility Emergency Procedures/Contingency Plan in the event of an emergency incident.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production demands.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of personnel and equipment safety.
