This role is within the MedTech division, which is developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. The Assembler 2 will work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions to perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce newly designed medical device products such as catheters and associated subassemblies in a clean room environment. The role involves following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Instructions (PI), adhering to lean manufacturing processes to achieve daily build goals, and assisting in building next-generation catheter products.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 0.5 - 2 years of related experience and/or training
• Ability to perform delicate assembly processes on small components or devices (examples include welding, swaging, soldering) assembly using microscope
• Able to perform tests that involve calipers, micrometers, rulers, gauges, etc. and other inspection tools and equipment, as needed
• Ability to support simple troubleshooting and communicate information to leads, engineers, and production managers to assist with root cause analysis
• Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820

Responsibilities

• Follow process instructions to build catheters to meet product development and launch commitments
• Meet catheter manufacturing yield and productivity goals
• Assist manufacturing/process/R&D engineers in resolving product and process problems
• Complete documentation such as Device History Records per GDP and GMP requirements
• Support the introduction of new products onto the manufacturing line
• Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO, EHS, Health and safety guidelines
• Maintain clean and organized workstation
• Train other Assemblers and perform quality inspection of other's work
• Perform multiple processes and suggest and contribute to catheter development
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable
• Performs other duties assigned as needed
